Highly recommended !

I had a great three night stay at this hotel. rooms and very clean, everything works, and the staff great. Breakfast is also good, and enjoyed eating it while overlooking the nearby temple. They also have limited room service menu, which was great quality food. It would be a great place to bring kids. Close to the riverfront, and an easy stroll into town. The only bummer was the loud drunken party noises coming from riverfront nightclubs, but it wasn't too loud.

Great value !

We spent five nights at the Lao Orchid hotel after recommendations here on Trip Advisor and we were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast really good with Lao standards. I would have been even more content if they hadn't completely run out of certain food stuffs (yogurt, bananas) some mornings.

As has been reported already, the beds are fairly hard, but I still found them comfortable and I slept very well, as did everyone in our party. And, yes, the dogs are still there and if canines barking bothers you, expect to wake up early.

They offer free wi-fi in the lobby but the signal was very weak so don't expect too much. (There's also a PC you can use).

The location is excellent and you have plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Excellen Hotel

We stayed here for two nights at the start of our trip in Lao. We stayed in the Superior room which we booked directly with the hotel website. The room was perfectly clean comfortable and had everything we needed including a computer with internet access. The staff were excellent and very efficient. We particularly recommend their airport pick-up service.

High-light for Orchid hotel !

The room was beautiful and spacious and the hotel staff was very friendly. The location of Orchid hotel is also ideal; lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and their staff made our trip unforgetable. Very lovely hotel and we will repeat!
