Named and designed after an authentic Chinese junk, the original Red Dragon plied the rivers, seas and harbours of the Far East, from Singapore to northern China.
Our Red Dragon is complete with five deluxe cabins and designed to resonate with superior class and grandeur. Larger than The Prince and Princess it is still small enough to get up close to the natural wonders, pocket lagoons and small fishing communities of Halong and Bai Tu Long bays.
As soon as you board the Red Dragon, you will be surrounded by traditional handmade artisan woodwork. Whether you are relaxing in the comfort of your own cabin, lounging on the spacious sun deck, or dinning in the cosy restaurant, you will feel treated like royalty.
This masterpiece is a wonderful option for those who need a little more space for a small group cruise of up to 11 people.

Best cruise ever !!!!
My familly and I did the 2 days/1 night cruise and it was just fabulous and unforgettable. We were received with a welcome cocktail by the friendly staff. After, we were served a delicious vietnamese meal. The view from the junk was splendid, we felt like in heaven. The room/bathroom were ok. The architecture/design of the junk was simply beautiful. Kayak & visit at the cave were great + the next day we visited the fishman village. Our guide on the junk was very nice and polite with us and always checked if we liked our cruise. Overall a very good service by the staff+amazing viet food. I highly recommend this cruise, once in your lifetime. You won't be dissapointed !!!
***Make sure you book on the official website, because I booked with a different website in french who charged me way more that the official website. We had a private driver (included in the price) who came pick us up into our hotel lobby in Hanoi + the next day someone from the company called me in french to see how was everything with the cruise. Paid around 300$ more that it suppose to be.
Wonderful, beautiful, relaxing and facinating
Such good service, beautiful junk, the weather was awful but it didn't matter because the junk was so good and it was an amazing experience. It doesn't feel rushed in 24 hours and it's a fairly quiet route but you still see the awsome Halong bay . Beds were comfortable, the tour guide was excellent, the food was amazing and the programme was well thought out. The website on trip advisor is wrong though - that one is for an agent. There are lots of agents that book it and they all add on various commissions which makes it pricey compared to booking direct. The right website for Indochina Junk which is the company that runs Red Dragon and the other junks they have is http://www.indochina-junk.com/
Can't recommend it more!
A Truly Amazing Experience
My friend and I just went on a cruise through Halong bay with Red Dragon cruiselines. Our ship was the Red Dragon Pearl, the newest ship owned by their company. From the second we emailed them for information until we left the ship, their company and staff gave us the best in customer service. We requested a room away from the generator because I'm a light sleeper and our room was perfect. This company has exclusive rights to a cave inside one of the thousands of islands that we got to visit, and we also got to go kayaking, swimming, and visit a fishing village. The food was amazing and we met some great people on our cruise as well. Definitely one of the best things I have ever done in my life, a visit to Halong bay is something I will remember for a lifetime.
Great trip
We loved this trip! The boat is so atmospheric, the food was great and the cabins were just too cool! Ideally, I would have liked the boat to myself but failing that sharing it with 4 other couples wasn't too bad and certainly not crowded. Really loved it. Peaceful. A stunning was to enjoy Halong bay .
Absolutely loved it! The best thing we did on a 3 week trip!
We took this junk in June and loved everything about it! The boat is very nice, small and clean. The staff were amazing! They served everyone like royalty and were friendly and nice and attempted to communicate using English and gestures. The itinerary was perfect. Kayaking and visiting the fishing village was so incredible. We went swimming a bunch of times, including jumping off the top of the boat (so fun and highly recommended!). The food was amazing and never-ending. They accommodated 2 vegetarians very easily. The route we took was amazing, with very few other people/boats seen. All in all I highly highly recommend this junk (and the entire cruise company - Indochina Sails). Everyone must do this!
