+ Perfect!
Well we did alot of ummming and arrrrring and read lots of reviews about where to stay. As far as i am concerned we picked the best!!! I couldn't fault it. When we arrived they up graded us straight away for no reason at all. We had a beach villa over looking the sea. It was a lovely room with everything you could wish for and more. It was very clean and the bed was extremley comfortable.
The beach was very clean compared to others that we walked to. The food at the beach and pool bar was good nothing special but it was fine. If anything the food was a bit expensive but thats what you would expect when eating at the resort.
I was un lucky enough to become ill whilst staying there(through no fault of the resort i must add) They were very good in arranging a doctor to come to my room on two occations. He was quick to arrive, very nice and cheap too.
Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
As someone else has said there isn't very much to do on the island and not alot at the resort so it was early nights for us too. However there were DVDS in the room which was a really nice touch.
I would highly recommend the resort and if i were out that way again would stay there. We got a really cheap deal as well booking with Asia rooms.
It was clean everywhere, the pool was lovely(sometimes a shortage of towls at pool and beach)
They did treatments, massage etc which i didn't try but everyone that i spoke to that had tried really enjoyed.
Loved it!!!!!
+ Great Place !
Great place to stay. Was there for 6 nights.Food was great breakfast good.Food at the hotel in the night is The island is a bit boring after 3 days had nothing else to do during the day its ok but no bars, clubs open during the night and ended up going to bed early. But as a hotel is very good.
+ “My feeling of Saigon Phu Quoc resort !
I think it is a great resort on Phu Quoc Island. I came there with my parents and was warmfully welcomed. The chief of resort, an old friend of my mother had introduced us about the resort and its facilities.
With an acceptable price, I think travellers would be pleased
+ Grat Location, rooms need to be remodeled !
I was a little disappointed when we got into the room. They were pretty old and clean enough, but I would not consider them to be clean to Western standards. I was a bit concerned when I saw the bug spray in the closet, but we never saw any bugs, which is a big plus in my book. The room had a great view of the ocean and the way the rooms are laid out, it appears that most do have a view. Our room had a nice patio area where you can sit and relax and it did appear that most rooms did too. The walls were a bit thin though, we heard everything that was going on in the room next to ours, even though we could not understand what they were saying. The noise did not bother us too much since we were only in our room to clean up or sleep. The staff were really nice and helpful and all the ones that we came in contact with spoke English competently. The lifeguard on the beach was really helpful with the guests, we do not have a problem with swimming in calm ocean water, but apparently a lot of people did and he appeared to handle the workload well. The beach was clean, but there was some construction going on both at the hotel and on the beach. The hotel offers a lot of freebies, like use of their kayaks, water trikes, snorkels, bikes, etc... which was great and made the $95 USD that we paid per night worthwhile. They have a great breakfast buffet that included Danish blue and brie cheeses - it was the only time in VN that I got to eat these cheeses! I loved it! The dining options for lunch and dinner were really expensive in VN, they had a few choices of buffet meals that were approx. $15 USD and also offered some a la carte items for around $8 - $10 USD. The hotel is located within walking distance to the night market (chợ đêm) where you can pick up a few gifts or have great dinner for about a buck! I would definitely stay at this hotel again and if they do decide to remodel the rooms, well then that will be a plus!
